For work but staying over the weekend for fun. Any suggestions on must-do activities, places to eat, drink, etc. is much appreciated! Thanks y'all
FYI - already been to the pier a few years back but that's all we had time to do.

If you like people watching, we had a blast at the 3rd Street Promenade. Closed off to traffic so you can watch street performers, shop, etc.

Just looked up back on the beach cafe, seems like this could definitely be a cool spot to bike over to. I think a Sunday brunch there would be terrific.

I'll never visit Santa Monica on the weekends again. So crowded, it's a zoo. Not to mention parking could cost $30 or $40 on busy days. We'll be skipping Santa Monica next time we visit LA.
That being said, The Misfit Restaurant&Bar was very nice. Great ambience and crispy lobster nik nik was good.

Don't have much recs on Santa Monica but check out Venice a few miles away...
Check out Abbott kinney street in Venice. Cool restaurants and stores.
Hit up Blue bottle for coffee, Blue star for donuts. Check out Leona and Gjenia for dinner. The wahler is sweet to right next to Venice pier.

THIS. Or the one in Culver City. Office burger is still the best I've ever had. Love that place.
The Sm location is tiny, the Culver City one is much better. Great burger, I do prefer stout burger however. I've been to the stout location in Hollywood, but I think there's also one in SM
