Has anyone been to Grand Canyon West?
Is it true you can’t take pictures with your cellphone on the Skywalk?
I would love to hear your experiences at GCW. Thanks in advance.

Been about 5 years ago, couldn’t take your phone at all I believe. Had lockers. They sell a photo package.

Have not been but heard it is super expensive with a ton of up-sells/add-ons. I also think you have to leave everything - phones, cameras, purses, backpacks, food and drink - in the lockers.

I haven't looked in awhile but the skywalk is something like 4 hours from the south rim Grand Canyon village correct? Depending on your plan and trip that wouldn't be worth it to me personally, OP. If you are going to Vegas its a lot closer and that would be more what it was built as a cater to the Vegas crowd.
The grand canyon is amazing but I'm not sure you really need anything more then the south rim or north rim on the same trip I guess is what I'm saying.

I’ll be driving in from Vegas. Should be a two hour drive or maybe 2.5 hours.

Take the Helicopter tour. Much faster and you fly right by the West Rim to your own private spot.

Would you recommend the helicopter ride to the Grand Canyon from Vegas and which package? Going at Mardi Gras.
