Yankee tickets -- will be buying etickets; don't want to spend a fortune as dtr just wants the MLB experience.

QUESTION is are there any seats to absolutely avoid?? Infield grandstand seats are in the way uppers but are like $50 ... worth it to sit elsewhere or will you get the "experience" there?

And for MSG, same question. Are there any seats to avoid?

Just do stubhub or seat geek for you tickets. It will show you the view from you seats plus you'll save a couple bucks.

do NOT do this for yankee games. you can't print at home anymore for those games. you need a hard ticket or an electronic (phone) ticket. so unless you're buying a few weeks out, don't do stubhub.

not a bad seat in the house for yankees. just know if it's a day game to try and sit on that third base side to get more shade. don't sit in the outfield for a day game, you will bake.

for MSG, there are some pretty shitty seats up top. especially way up top with view obstructed by that stupid chase bridge. try to sit lower up top if you have to be up top, but down low is obviously much better.

uber or cab. it's not worth saving the few bucks to ride the bus to the subway, it's a major pain in the arse, especially if there are 3 or 4. max in a cab is 4. if you have 5 or 6, then do an uber XL.

Was going to use stub hub the day before or the day of and just download them to our phones. Is this not a good plan?

will not work. if you're gonna use stubhub, order now. or order through the yankee's site/ticketmaster. tickets really aren't that expensive at all.

Also, we are flying into Newark. Best to take a cab, uber or the air train from airport to Manhattan? Hotel is near Times Square and we will land about 3 hrs before check in so time is not a major factor. 3 adults

what time of day? i'm guessing around noon if checkin is 3 hours later. your cheapest option is to take airtrain to NJ transit to Penn Station, which should cost around $12 per person. That puts you in walking distance of times square (34th and 8th is Penn). Your other option is to cab or uber, which will be probably around $25 per person including tax, toll, and tip.

A final option is the bus that runs from Newark to Manhattan and drops off in times square. It's about $15 per person I believe. It all depends on your budget, really. The convenient option is the cab, the cheapest is AirTrain. Bus is in-between.

Quail you're a wealth of info!

So don't lol but my daughter wants to go to Live with Kelly and we registered for tickets but didn't get priority -- got general admission. I know that priority goes in first and then general but based on first come first serve.

Know anything about this? Specifically what time would a person wanting to be in front of the general admission line get there?

Yearnt I looked for our date on the Yankee website and there weren't many at all (7/16). Vivid seats seems to have a lot of etickets ... $50 for upper upper grandstand behind home plate. Guessing that'll work for what we need/want.

Other than the good options noted by Quail, I often use a driver for pick up at LGA. Great guy, nice black SUV, waiting for you with a sign. Not outrageously expensive. Let me know if you'd like his info.

And totally agree with him. I've sat in the uppers on multiple occasions at Yankee Stadium. Have never had a bad seat.

You need the physical ticket or an e-ticket (only available through ticketmaster) for anything at Yankee stadium. Stubhub and other sites will nto work unless they can physically get you the ticket beforehand. Print-off tickets are a no go.

Thanks for all the info. Will look into getting tickets beforehand and will probably do the air train to hotel.

(There's a phone icon or a message about the seats and some do say IOS or Android needed)

i honestly don't. i would google a bit to find some info. i'm sure it's at least 2-3 hours ahead of time, though. but definitely search the internet and see what they have to say.
