FWIW, I've never been and never had an urge to go really. We're visiting my wife's grandparents around Nashville and were looking for other places to go +/- 5 hours from Nashville after we visited them. We decided to do Cincinnati and Mammoth Cave NP for 3-4 days. I've always wanted to go to a ballgame in Cincinnati but wasn't sure what else the city had to offer. Any suggestions? TIA

Eat some skyline chili. The stuff is delicious.

Watch out for the bearcats. City is full of them and they can be very aggressive.

Kings Island amusement park is something to do if you like that kind of thing.

Biggest myth out there. Glorified spaghetti sauce TBH.

There's a somewhat OK aquarium on the Kentucky side of the river if that's your thing.

I'm a fan of Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives....go to his site and seek out a few places to hit up. He's been to a few in Cincinnati.

Newport on the Levee is a cool area. Few good restaurants and shopping. You can also take the ferry across the river to the game if you are staying on the KY side of the river.

I miss La Rosa's badly. I think it is still my favorite pizza and I haven't had it in over 5 years.

Skip skyline. Overrated, you and your wife will be on the toilet for the rest of the day.

ETA continue 1.5 hours north on 71 and go to a clippers game, visit the shoe, enjoy German Village, and go to Jack Hanna's zoo.

My wife is from Cincinnati, and I've been multiple times.

If you go to Newport on the Levee, eat at Tom & Chee. It's a place that is grilled cheese sandwiches with various meats (since you're planning on doing skyline if you want to complete your Cincinnati specific choices I'd tell you to go with goetta), and DELICIOUS tomato soup.

Definitely check out the Cincinnati Museum Center at Union Terminal. They based the Hall of Justice from the Super Friends cartoon on it, and it's a really great museum.

Fountain Square has some nice restaurants around it. I would recommend Boca, Nada, or Sotto (they're all beside/under each other and my sister-in-law is one of the chefs at Sotto)

Skylines and UDFs are everywhere.

The drive isn't bad, but the stretch on I 71 from Louisville to 75 is boring as hell, and I think you're forced to take the Waterson Expressway around Louisville as there's a ton of construction in downtown right now.

Have fun with it. Great American is a great place to watch a game.

You'll love the stadium. Not a bad seat in there, and tickets are cheap.

Downtown has a few good places, but I'd rather go across the river to Newport. That's where the aquarium is, but lots of bars and restaurants too. If your wife wasn't pregnant you could walk over the bridge.

Skyline is way over rated to me, but you should try it. I don't think chili belongs on noodles, but the dogs are ok.

Newport and Covington are cooler than Cincy to me, but it's just cause it's pretty ghetto. I lived there for 6 years. If you are driving in on 75 you see a pretty sweet skyline (hence skyline chili) because of the big hills you come down

Newport has Hofbrauhaus which I always liked going to before games. You can get liters of beer or das boot

I agree with all of this. Fountain Square is pretty cool. I used to walk by it everyday
