Excellence - Playa Mujeres Excursion Recs and other advice

Going for my honeymoon in early July. We booked Excellence Club Junior Suite Ocean Front. What are some good excursions we should check out? Also, should I arrange transport to the resort before arriving at the airport, or just catch a cab?

You can probably get transport through the hotel for $35 per person, round trip. Cab will cost you probably similar, but it's a little easier to take care of ahead of time. I'd be okay with getting a cab, but my wife probably prefers to remove that stress.
