Officially trashiest thread on travel with the exception of best cabin deals in Gatlinburg.

After research, Rum Runner flask are the the best way, other ways that used to work have been thwarted...

We will be using clear flasks wrapped in our clothes as well as shampoo and conditioner bottles.

Lipton Brisk 20 ounce bottles. Empty and replace with whisky.
Ozarka bottles of vodka.
Go no better than Jim Beam or Jack Daniels priced liquor because you may lose them if your bag gets the random check.

I've used Rum Runners flasks on 2 cruises with a 100% success rate.

You are allowed to carry on a case of water. Without breaking the case wrapping, take out the middle 12 bottles and fill them with vodka then dot the top of the caps with a sharpie so you know which bottles are which then put all of the bottles back in as they were. Walk on the boat with your case in hand.

This has ended on most cruise lines...

Then make it to the first port, buy liquor there in any size bottle smaller than a fifth and they will let you take it back to your room. Any size bigger and they will hold until you depart.
I have been doing this for years, over 10 cruise trips.

Rum Runners. Pack them in your checked luggage and roll it up in the leg of a pair of jeans. I did this the first few times but I hardly ever used it. It just wasn't worth running back to the room for a drink I made myself. Just spend the money on drinks or buy the Cheers package. I don't drink a ton, though. I suppose if you drank a whole lot then the savings would be well worth it.

Maybe they just didn't see it but that is 100% not the policy. Any alcohol, no matter what size, is to be held for pickup at the end of the cruise. You may have gotten away with it somehow but it is not something I would recommend others do if they want to drink it while on the cruise.

They seen it every time, I have sent it through the x-ray every time. I have never tried to hide it, even had them put in back into my hands.
As for my recommendations... Stop being cheap and buy your drinks, they are being sold everywhere on the boat. Don't worry about it too much you will have a great time

I ordered some "Shambooze" bottles off of Amazon and brought all of our liquor on 2 weeks ago.
They look just like the real thing and come with seals to reseal the bottles.
2 people in our group of 12 had their Rum Runners taken out of their bags before they arrived to their rooms.
