What kind of traffic should I expect? Holiday weekend so I am sure it will be nuts.

Any ways around the tunnel that anyone knows of that could help me get around potential traffic?

Thanks

Sorry, I had to

In all seriousness, I bet most people will already be there. I'm sure the Destin traffic will be a shite show like usual though. The main reason I don't go to Destin.

I don't find Saturday's with the tunnel to be horrible. The destin mid bay bridge is a massive cluster though. Just leave early

Friday afternoon will be terrible but Saturday shouldn't be too bad. Do you use the Waze app? If not, download it for free, plug in your destination and relax.

There is an alternate route on 90/Government that's a few miles north of I-10 in Mobile. I haven't done it but may be worth a shot if you get in bad traffic. We usually leave early Sat morning to beat the bad traffic in Mobile. I was in Destin last week and we were approaching Mobile around 10:30 and only lost a couple mins for the main tunnel. I would assume 4th of July weekend traffic to be heavier but that gives you a basic idea.

Stayed at Waterscape last month for Labor Day. 25 minutes to Indian Bayou, hour and a half back

Just use Google Maps the whole way. Went to Orange Beach a month ago and it took me through the downtown tunnel to avoid traffic on I-10.
