The wife (no pics) and I will be down there around Christmas for her brother's wedding. We are not OT ballers. It's not a destination wedding. The bride is from the DR.

Since we will already be down there, we decided to take advantage and extend our Christmas vacation and stay at an all-inclusive after the wedding. Probably for 5-6 days.

Would appreciate any insight/experience anyone may have. I've not stayed at an all-inclusive before so I can't say I'm too saavy about these things. Although we're not OT ballers, we've already been saving up so we can do it right, and not stay at a lackluster one.

We are primarily looking for "true" all-inclusives where we just pay up front and not have to worry at all about pulling out our wallets while we're there and pretty much everything is included. From the research I've done, it looks like some of these places call themselves "all-inclusive" but then launch you into this huge a la carte menu once you start the booking process. Like, damn, I don't know exactly how many bottles of bourbon I want stocked in the mini fridge five months ahead of time.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

ETA: Just found another thread in this topic. Never mind.
