Any body have any experience with staying on a Disney resort but going to universal a few days. It's just me and my wife going so we wanted to check out universal while we are down there. Do you just get a cab or something?

I have done Universal several times over the years and I'll never do it again without staying at one of the onsite resorts--the whole experience just can't be beat.

Move out of your Disney hotel and into a universal resort for a couple of days.

If staying at Disney for longer than 2 days you can stay at the Disney resorts. They are worth their weight in gold just for the bus shuttle alone. Universal there are several great hotels around the area that offer shuttle service from the hotel.

We've done a single day at Universal while staying at Disney. If you don't have your own car or a rental, the cheapest option may just be booking a Mears shuttle to pick you up from your hotel to bring you to Universal. We had a Mears shuttle pick us up from Pop Century (on Disney property) and take us to Universal. We just needed to be back to the shuttle pick-up by a certain time and it got us right back to Disney.

We thought about doing it our last Disney trip but when you factor in all the money you spend on Disney, to pay $100 each for Universal admittance seemed like a waste of money.

I don't really care to go to Universal but I would like to go to Harry Potter one day, I may do that in California now that it is open.

Ok. Do the park hopper for both universal parks. Get lunch and some drinks at the boardwalk in the between both parks. If you are there on the weekend they have pretty good concerts at the boardwalk. Hope you have a good time

A Taxi is $40 - $50 ONE WAY ( depends which Disney Resort you are staying at )

Renting a car AND paying parking is about the same

We did that about 10 years ago for our honeymoon - we stayed the week at Coronado Springs but wanted to do two days at Universal. We just took a cab. I don't remember it being all that expensive.

When does the Hulk coaster reopen?
Cab or Uber to Universal. There are shuttles but you have no discretion on time.
