Looking for a 1 or 2 bedroom condo for $1,000 or less. Know any websites with good deals. Want a decent place close to the beach

It's going to be very difficult to find a quality place that rents for less than a week during the peak of the summer

Your best bet for that price range is the Phoenix properties in Orange Beach/gulf shores

You might be across the street or on the bay that weekend at that price range

yeah good luck with that price but if you aren't going 30a you must go Portofino, there is no other option

I own a one bedroom in Orange Beach in the Phoenix 1 complex. I rent mine through Brett Robinson, but most of the local rental companies also have agreements with VRBO. Owners that utilize the management services usually don't set the rates, they allow the management services to let the market dictate the price. July 4th week is the highest priced week of the year. The week after the 4th is actually one of the cheapest weeks of the summer. Occupancy rates and prices are also pretty low the last couple of weeks in August.

That said, mine is currently reserved right now from 6/29 through 7/3. To give you a feel for prices, those 4 days rented for about $1200. Prices advertised typically don't include the cleaning and parking fee that is added.

Damn! They are so high this time of year. We don't go there anymore, for the last 4 years we've been driving past there for another 7 hours(it's double the time but well worth it) where you can get a condo for 2 weeks for $1600. The water is crystal clear and the beaches are not packed at all. So much better. We were offered a condo last year for the whole month for $2200.

Or just go the week of Memorial Day and not fight the crowds.
I ain't about to drive 7 hours for a beach trip. LOL
