What's y'all favorite Boston hotels and areas. I have points I can use at the Hilton Faneuil Hall but what are some good hotels or areas to stay for a couple, in their mid 30s. I know it is walkable so maybe the area isn't a big deal.

As you said, area isn't as crucial because the city is so walkable. That said, it really depends on your budget.

But without knowing your budget, here are some hotels that are perfectly situated to check out:

Four Seasons
Ritz Carlton
Park Plaza
Omni Parker
The W
The Ames Hotel

Of course, the top two are the most expensive, but they are also the best located (the Omni is right next to the Ritz and would be much cheaper).

Favorite areas of the city to look for hotels would also depend on what you're looking to do. If the catching a Sox game is most important, then Fenway. But in general, I'd say to look in the Back Bay, Beacon Hill, Theater District, or North End. In that order.

We stayed at the Ames last year. Really liked it. Right in the middle of everything.

I would use your points and stay at Hilton Faniuel Hall. I also like the Hilton Back Bay but the first is nicer and probably more centrally located depending on what you want to do (but Boston is small and easy to get around in for the most part). There is a Marriott Long Wharf that is nice and on the water.

Only problem here is noise. I wouldn't want to sleep next to Faniuel Hall due to the street performers constantly yelling during the day and restaurants that turn into douche clubs at night.
