Will be in the area of Sonoma, CA tomorrow. Any good recommendations?

You should elaborate on what it is you're looking for. Best wine, best tour, best view, best value..?

I do recommend having some of the tastings in downtown Sonoma. They aren't the vineyards just places where you can taste the wine from the wineries. Stop by Hawkes and say hey to my brother, the curly haired guy pouring wine.

I do not recommend driving.. Seriously.

Just passing through the area for a couple hours. Wanted to stop at a Winery or two. A view would be nice. I'm no wine expert, so I'm not too picky.

I do drink Highway 12 Cabernet regularly.

My cousin owns J Rickards. I haven't been yet, but I hear it's great.

If I remember correctly, Jordan is in Sonoma. Beautiful place and great wine.

Edit: I checked, it's in the Alexander Valley. Sorry.

Isn't Alexander Valley in Sonoma County?

Well then screw the haters, I was right all along!

What can I say, I don't know a ton about the area. Only been once.

And I refuse to edit that post. I want people to see how dumb I am.

Man, I didn't realize there were so many different wineries up around Healdsburg, I've only been on the southern end of the County and up the Coast.

I really want to take a trip down to Paso Robles. After I visit all of Napa along 29.

I live there...and yes, we are littered with wineries and tourists.

Matamzas creek. Good wine and a beautiful estate. They have lavender fields as well.

Gary Farrell is a good one. Nice tasting room, amazing views. I'm not a huge Pinot fan, which seems to be their niche, but enjoyed all they had to offer.
