If you’re not going with kids….

We stayed at the Wellesley in Knightsbridge based on a recommendation. It’s on very SE corner of Hyde park and near Buckingham palace. There’s a bus stop in front (which we didn’t use) and has a very nearby tube station. We enjoyed it. It was a good location for us. You have a butler and a free chauffeur if going to local shops and Mayfair etc. They have a great cigar bar inside with big portraits of Winston Churchill and JFK. Cool place. Fun experience. We would likely stay there again next time we go back to London.

My go-to now in London is the Royal Horseguards Hotel.

It's on the Thames across from the London Eye.

Embankment Tube Station is across the street.

I checked April '24 dates and it's currently at $400 per night.

I used to stay at the Ritz but it got absolutely stupid.

It's right near Whitehall, I think the Cenotaph is a moving memorial and I can have it to myself early in the morning.

Only been once and we stayed at The Westminster Curio Collection by Hilton. Close-ish to a lot of things but not in the middle of the action
