Headed to New Orleans for a bachelor party in a couple of weeks. Was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for restaurants that would accommodate a large party of around 10. Also, besides the casino what would be some things we should do during the day time?

Skip the casino man. Go walk about the French quarter and bourbon and get hammered

Just be careful and stay together.
It can be a dangerous city in the wrong places at certain times of the night.

Which big city across the globe does this not apply to?

It's a Bachelor party... Get fricked up at Pat O's, Tropical Isle, etc. and go to the titty clubs.

The wife and a few of her friends, catholic school moms, are spending the weekend of 3/10 in the FQ....if you run into them, the wedding will be called off.

Gone to several and going to one in April. La Boca has great tasting menu, affordable and good drinks.
Would walk the FQ and do pat Os, carousel bar, and LaFittes. Great walk if good weather. We usually save the casino for late late night so not every is committed if they don't want to.
Depending on age of group, would check out Sazerac at Roosevelt to get started.
