Taking the family (5 and 6 year old daughters, wife, and my dad) to Azul Fives August 16-22. Anyone here been? We go to Karisma resorts often but haven't been to Azul Fives yet.
Anyone been? Good experiences? Bad experiences? Recommendations?
Thanks!

We really enjoyed it last year. I certainly would go back. We were me, wife (no pics), 15 year old son, and 13 year old daughter.
Driving up the places looks sketchy. It just doesn't have the wow factor most others do. Check in had to wait until 3pm but they held our bags and we could change. Some people had check in issues... we didn't. We got a 2 bedroom sky suite and loved it. Kids had their own room and we had ours.
Food was pretty solid. We enjoyed the Italian a lot. Some of the restaurants don't seem to have as much AC. The French spot was a nice place for dinner and breakfast. Booking a reservation was required for some places.
Beach was ok but a bit rocky in spots. You could walk up and down the beach and we felt fine. Main pool was nice but a bit loud. We were in a quiet pool by building 15 I believe.
Try the tequila tasting and the wine tasting... they are both fun. We would certainly go back. For us it was a good family fit, but if it was just me and the wife we would probably go elsewhere. However, I wouldn't hesitate to go back.
