Soldier field is one of my favourite stadiums - if you can, get a seat where you can look back at the Chi skyline (although being preseason you can probably score great seats for cheap close to field). Don't over pay for Club level seats - it's very mundane at soldier and you can get premium beers and liquor all over the stadium, not just in club - they are very strict (stricter than most) on bags / purses at this venue

I assume, as a tourist, you're staying closer to downtown in River North or The Loop, yes? If so, Retro on Roscoe is up in Roscoe Village. Cheapest route is to take the Brown Line (towards Kimball) and get off at Paulina or Addison.

Might be worth checking out. Retro on Roscoe features a lot of live music on multiple stages with a number of vendors (food and product). Like most festivals across the city, they'll ask for a suggested donation upon entering.

Will be in NYC this weekend visiting my parents with plenty of time to get out of the house and hop around Manhattan and Brooklyn.

Going to Green Bay? Or just sticking around Chicago? If Chicago, you should make an appearance in enemy territory and head over to Wills (Lakeview) or FatPour (Wicker). There are a number of other Wisconsin bars, but these are the two most-popular. Wills is nuts.
