Located in downtown Montgomery, the Museum of Alabama is the only destination where you can explore Alabama's past from prehistory to the present. The Museum is located at the Alabama Department of Archives and History (ADAH), the nation's oldest state-funded, independent archival and historical agency
Worth a visit. LINK

Well he removed Civil War history and the Battleship from the options, not to mention I have no clue what he's looking for outside of that.
The Bellingrath home is a 850+ acre estate of a former Coke executive.
The Conecuh Sausage stop would be just to pick up a few of the varieties they don't sell in Louisiana.
I've never been to Wind Creek, but threw it in there.
Monroeville is where Harper Lee and Truman Capote are from.
Mobile River Delta second largest to the Mississippi, and the layout of it makes for good kayak tours and such.

Public sausage-making.
I can't think of a thing in between Mobile & Montgomery to stop for except the Bates House of Turkey.

Yeah, was just wanting to break up the monotony of the drive home so just threw out a hail mary. With the shitty options just kept driving.
Museum of Alabama looks like it would have been a good choice but was long gone by then.
