So have a 5 hour layover in transit in Doha and that is post a 16 hour flight from Dallas? Flying economy so was wondering what is best bet to get/buy lounge access there without going overboard on the money. Any help appreciated.

There’s a Priority Pass lounge. Probably cheaper than some other options out there.

Do you have a Chase Reserve card? It’s one of the perks with it. They allow up to 4 hours with the priority pass card. Food and drink provided along with WiFi, shower, tvs etc (this is according to the priority pass app).

Maybe see if one of your friends has a priority pass card. I’ve never had them ask for my ID. I’ve just shown them the card and they swipe it to make sure it’s valid and that’s it.

If no to all of the above, you can still buy access to the lounge but I’m not sure how much that would be. Probably best to call in advance. Good luck

Chase Sapphire Reserve

This article gives a high level recap of the card. Also, pretty sure you can find some old money talk threads on this card as well.

If you're flying Qatar and have status with AA Qatar is part of the one world alliance. You may be able to get into a Qatar lounge.

I went through there a few weeks ago. The lounge is decent, nothing special. Foods actually pretty good though.

I've never been impressed with the PP lounges. Yes, it's nice to get away from the airport crowds, but the lounges themselves have generally been pretty tame.

Good luck.

Did you book through Qatar by any chance? They are currently offering 15% off lounge access. You can book online through "My Trips" on their website. I'm not sure how much a daily pass is usually.

I've been in the Al Mourjan lounge, and it is by far the nicest lounge I've ever step foot in. I wasn't there very long and didn't get to take full advantage of it, but it was impressive.
