I think the whole mail-merge concept was invented in the late 1980s.

I got the same email. It's funny how the get the first name correct, but not the rest of the syntax.
guess they don't send test emails to the employees.

CAD, on the same note... Have you noticed the Wink app doesn't track activity for the schlage lock? It will record when you create a new code, but it won't let you know when it's locked/unlocked. Am I missing a setting or something?

When I look at activity under my schlage, it tells me day and time of lock or unlock, but not the user code that did it.

solve this by adding new users (based on email address) to the schlage lock in WINK.

Its hidden; so follow these steps:

- click on the schlage lock
- click 'schlage settings' for the lock you set up
- scroll down and look for 'users' i'm sharing with' and add email addresses there.

they will need to open the lock using the wink app on their iPhone or Android, but then you can see who is coming and going.

its a workaround but it will at least do what you want.

when done with them (like if you get divorced ) just remove their email from the list.

its more of a UI annoyance..they should allow you to both name each code you setup for schlage and to recognize that name as the person unlocking it in the activity log.

it also assumes the person you are giving access to has installed & registered a wink account (albeit free) its still a hassle unless its a family member.

hey..when i first started out..the schlage lock in winnk did virtually NOTHING but lock & unlock so be happy you can do codes.

yeah this has something to do with more devices being added.

glad to see they keep moving the ball forward on this even if they have been giant douches thus far.

oh and the ability to trigger events (like locking the door when the lights go out at 11pm) is inexplicably back now. :aliens:

Have you tried to set up and shortcuts with IFTTT? I only have 1 shortcut available when I try to set up a rule with IFTTT.

New wink huh update features ability to change the color of your hue LEDs in response to smoke detection.

Battlestar Galactica is one step closer today.

I want them to turn red and a klaxon sound.

It's definitely getting better.

They are racking up the "things". So many connected devices are now supported by wink.. That was always their ace.. All the built in radios making it future proof and ever expanding.

They just need good supporting software and a good ui that is stable and they would be in the catbird seat.

That expired cert issue just about killed them though.

Iris has a great interface. Camera video management just sucks.
