I have a few questions about using wifi at work. If I'm using the wifi can my company see what I do on my phone? I don't look at porn or anything but I'd still like my privacy. Could they read text messages and look through my pictures and notes? I keep passwords and stuff on my phone so that's private information I wouldn't want them knowing. Also, if they can see what's on my phone, does that access end when I disconnect from their wifi?

They can certainly see your internet activity. they cannot read your text messages or see your pictures

If you want privacy dont connect to a network you dont control

Better to ask the IT dept. is it advertised as open public wifi? Do you have to click to acknowledge am acceptable use disclaimer? We have public wifi in buildings and it is routed separately out through our ISP, providing security between network and public traffic.

Wifi at work question

Simple solution: Don't use wifi at any workplace if browsing the internet/facebook/snapchat/twitter for personal use.
