There seems to be so much more than Roomba these days and each line has quite a few models. What does the tech board use?

Neato connected bot. Upgraded from an old basic roomba. Whole home. Cleaning works pretty good. Roombas that do this are way too expensive. You can use 20% off coupons at BBB for neato

I'm about to buy one of these for the first time. Few questions:

How quick does it work? Say for a 4 bed, three bath home. Couple hours? Or do you just let the thing run for long periods of time?

How do they work on wood floors and weird spots like corners of rooms etc?

Do they maneuver well enough to switch from surface to surface easily? Say from wood floors/tile to carpet vice versa?

I have a Neato Botvac, been using for over a year. Have a dog, so Neato does whole house every day. Works great, I have combination carpet, wood, & brick floors, does 'em all. With the exception of replacing the battery every 3 or so months, I'd say it's been great.

I have had a neato for about 2 years and don't expect it to last more than that. If you have pets then you have to clean the brush out almost every time.

It looks like I'll be checking out the Neato, Samsung and Roomba. I asked what budget she had in mind, she said under $1k....

Why do you have to replace the battery so frequently?

No clue. House is approx 3,400sqft heated, takes 3 cycles per day, like 250-340 cycles per battery replacement. Seems excessive, but hey, vac works great!

I've got a Roomba 980 named Ms. Clean...that bitch vacuums the floor every weekday (off on weekends when I'm home) and never complains.

I'm thinking about cutting her hours to 3 days a week though. Since I don't have any pets and my new house is all wood I'd like to take the opportunity to not buy at least a battery/year.
