Just for the hell of it I tried to add the $450 4k TV to my cart yesterday. App froze and the wait list was full within a second

Congrats. Apparently, it happened while I was busy ordering my kids' entire Christmas on Amazon. I have no doubt this will be Amazon's highest grossing winter ever. The psychology behind these short, random sales is solid. There are compulsive shoppers who will stay on the site literally all day long, stressing about catching the next deal. And while they're waiting, they'll buy lots of other shite to relieve that stress.

I was visiting my folks and decided to check the app for anything interesting. The tv sale was conting down and had :45 left. I just lucked up.
