I have several company cars that I need to disable the starter unless I allow it to be driven.

Does anyone know of a system that would allow me to remotely start a car via an app? My employee would have a key but I don't want it to be able to be started without my permission.

Any help much appreciated.

little obsessive huh? if you can't trust your employees enough to not joy ride in a company vehicle, why hire them?

keep it simple and do a mileage log. mileage in xxx mileage out xxx. monday morning if mileage xxx was 100 miles over than it was on friday, then make your decision.

but being started without your permission is just anal. id walk to a job before calling you to start my vehicle.

What happens if they have to stop and take a piss?

Do they seriously have to call you to turn the car on/off?

Just let your employees read your post and after everyone gives their 2 weeks notice you won't need an app to know if anyone is starting your precious Chrysler 200s

How about just don't give keys to anyone you don't want driving them?

Why not just hook up a gps so that you can see the car's locations whenever needed?

You can't be serious. My employer could keep my company truck if I had to call them to start it. In fact I would not be working there, that's got to be the stupidest shite I've ever read on here.

Man, that sounds like a terrible solution. You ok with calling a tow truck every time your employee gets out of cell coverage, or what?

If you have problems with unauthorized use of your company vehicles, fire someone for doing it and the problem will be solved....
