I know there are different brands, some which receive better reviews than others.

But does anyone actually have one or at least have experience with one?

What makes VR glasses so cool?

Coworker has the HTC Vive and has positive reviews of it. He says it isn't "mindblowing" yet though compared to the price.

I have used an Oculus Rift headset before and it's pretty good. That's about all the detail I have

Wife has a Galaxy Note 4 and wants a VR head set for it for Christmas. I would greatly appreciate suggestions

Does she want to use this to do it? Just get the Samsung VR headset. Zeiss VR One is another good phone one. Homido is suppose to have some good ones too.

Playstation VR is the next step.

HTC Vive is the best out there currently.

Visually, yes.

There are limits to what you can do with gameplay controls and motions right now though.

I've done with my Vive what everyone wants to do with VR, pr0n

It's a bit much to be honest. It's a whole different experience. I believe it is a bigger step going from internet pr0n to VR pr0n, than it was from going from magazines to video or internet pics to internet video.

All those formats really never felt like it put you there, VR takes that step.

So yes, it can definitely feel immersive. The new google earth app is mindblowing.

What do you do with these things? Just look at cool graphics and whatnot? These galaxy commercials look like normal family type people are tripping on acid with those things on.

Watch videos and play games, that's about it. It's hard on the eyes, so playing them for extended periods of time is far worse than computer monitors and TVs.
