It's the wireless that is so weak and loses signal. You can get in there, control the router, kill the wireless then use one of the extra Ethernet ports to feed your new wireless router. It improved our deal very, very much.

That may or may not fix the issue. I have an ethernet cable running directly from the router to my laptop and it still has problems.

frick AT&T, I don't know how they're still in business with this Uverse bullshite. They make sure the modems they pick cannot be bridged, you can't use your own modem, by default they block outbound port 25 even on "commercial" installs. It's fricking hilarious when I go into my "business" modem and see a tab called "home network". Clearly this shite was never meant for business, but they force people to "upgrade" from DSL.

Cable internet + Motorola Surfboard + your own fricking router = win. frick AT&T.

I was constantly resetting mine. Finally changed to Directv. So I'm using my own router now with no problems. 2wire sucks.

I just don't have that much problem with mine but my main question was, with DirecTV, who's your internet provider?

I didn't think DirecTV could do internet?

I have Eatel and they use the same 2wire to connect their TV and Internet. Wireless was dropping out a lot. I still have Eatel for Internet and no more dropped wifi.
