I think I am going to do the 30 day trial of this and see what happens. I will report back. I have done a bunch of research and it has been mostly positive. This thread is fantastic by the way. Good stuff.

YouTube TV is launching in many cities nationwide. It appears real good. Any feedback?

I have called and emailed settv about wanting to do the 30 day trial or whatever they offer but they have not contacted me back yet. I guess I will have to see what else is out there.

check your spam folder. Sometimes SET TV stuff goes to spam. When I did my 3 day trial I heard from them the next day with the code. I filled out the trial request pop up on their main screen.

Its just ok so far. I guess because its all internet based some problems just happen. its not 100% reliable. And by that I mean some times some channels do not work. Some days most all of them work. Some times there is buffering or pixelation. However, for me, for $20 a month I can live with that vs the $130 a month I paid for DirecTV. The SET TV on demand is awesome. Lots of movies to choose from. I recently bought the SET TV box and should have it today. From reviews I read online they say the service works much better with their box. Currently i'm running it through a Firestick. Only issue with the box is that its proprietary so if you decide you don't want the service any longer you can't put something else on it like a Roku or Firestick. Good thing about it is it has a remote. With the Firestick its a bit cumbersome changing and searching channels. Despite the list on their website, they are always adding channels. They now have SEC Network, all the ESPN's and NFL, MLB, NBA and NHL ticket. I will see how things go and update my experience with them. I would recommend everyone try the 3 day trial and see for yourself. As I said, for $20 I can live with the problems vs a $130 bill.

Is it recommended to use a VPN when using Kodi on firestick? Finally got it working so that I can watch the Astros and was wondering if it is ok.

Can someone give me a recommendation for an antenna?

I live on the top floor of a two story building in the 70001 area code. I have an attic, but I'd prefer to not put it up there.

Would like to spend ~$50 if possible.

ETA: Nvm just went with Mohu Leaf

Can someone suggest a new addon for Kodi? Exodus is no longer working for me.

Covenant, specto fork, wolf-pack, elysium, genesis reborn

Also, check out terrarium tv. It's an .apk and is independent of kodi

Don't know if it's been posted in here, but AT&T actually confirmed a massive overhaul of DTVN, Cloud DVR, and an eventual unification of experiences across all their platforms.

Got an invite email to sign up for the potential beta testing for the cloud DVR for DirecTV Now.

Did you stay settled on SET-TV?

Thanks - Looking to shore up my fall options.
