UI Express feedback?

Bought one for BIL
Sent him instructions to set his ATT gateway in pass through mode to it.
He failed to do it right, but he did get the UIE online (albeit almost certainly double-NAT’d, and he has no connected devices)
I got him to add me as an admin
I was able to remotely set up traffic routes and configure it just fine.



…he still hadn’t connected anything to it in about 2 weeks. But it’s a pretty typical Unifi experience.



I also put a UXG-Light at my FIL’s house to replace a USG. Getting it online wasn’t terrible, but it took some doing. Again, got my VPNs and traffic routes between his house, his camp, and my house (he has a camp a couple states over and likes local channels when he’s there during Hurricane season, so I’ve got him logged into his and my streaming services which he uses all of about 6 hours a year) set up in a few minutes. Super easy.


I haven’t personally touched the UIE or tried mesh mode.

We have one so far in production. 4 device limit sucks. Probably will wait for the larger unit coming out later this year.
