How are you liking kODI?
pretty good. I went to Best Buy last night to buy me a Dyson vacuum and was talking to my friend who's the manager there. 2 black ladies from New Orleans walked up and asked to buy all of their firesticks.

I 'm guessing the jailbreaking thing has really taken off in the New Orleans market because the BB's in NO are all out of the firesticks.

Do i need to update these repositories somehow from time to time to get the new movies?

I didn't even jailbreak my firestick to put kodi on it... It's that OK? Lol... I haven't had a problem with it.. When i searched kodi on firestick no pc it brought up a simple way to download kodi onto the firestick.

So what's the purpose of jail breaking a firestick like the poster 3 post up was talking about?

there is no such thing as "jailbreaking" a fire stick. You are able to "sideload" an APK (android program file) that isn't available thru the amazon app store.

Ah ok.. I was wondering.. I don't know how to side load anything on firestick.. I put kodi on just by using the firestick itself and downloading kodi to it through es file.

Loading Kodi once turning on the non amazon as and downloading ES file explorer is what I was talking about.

Kodi itself has to be updated manually. But you don't have to update to every new release. If it ain't broke..........The apps you install in Kodi such as Velocity, SALTS, etc. will update automatically if you installed from a repository. Some apps, such as Sportsdevil have to be installed manually and updated manually as there is no repository for Sportsdevil.
