Last iPad I owned was an iPad 2, which I finally sold last year cause it was becoming too slow.

This new Pro is the first iPad that's really caught my eye and would be a HUGE upgrade from my old 2011 iPad. True-tone, laminated retina display, 4GB ram, thinner, lighter, etc.

Anyone drop the $650 on one yet? Thinking if I see a deal (499-550ish) I'm gonna jump on it.

I haven’t seen anything but good reviews on it thus far, but still pretty pricey. I think for a hundred or two more you can get the larger sized iPad Pro.

Everyone is saying it's incredible, but won't be fully realized until iOS 11 comes out in the fall.

For that much money I would rather have a nice laptop with much better specs. But yea, I get that iPads have a niche market.

Apple on stage said the A10X is 30% faster than the A9X chip in the previous iPad Pro generation. That number is accurate only for the single-core performance, as fresh tests are revealing. The A10X hits 3929 in Geekbench 4 compared to 3031 for the A9X chip. That’s a 30% increase in line with Apple’s estimates.

But on the multi-core side, things are even better. Apparently, the A10X chip goes all the way up to 9372, which is a whopping 82% more than the 5138 score that an A9X iPad Pro might reach. That’s something Apple doesn’t mention on its site, although it does note that the iPad is “more powerful than most PC laptops.”

Just bought one for my wife for her work a couple days ago. I got to say it's pretty damn nice. Lightning quick. As someone said tho ios11 is supposed to be where it really shines.

It's available with 512gb. I'll be buying one next year when the "new" one comes out.
Now that they offer 256 and 512, they're actually a worthwhile contender to the Samsung Tabs.

I just got one without the pen as a gift. Had an ipad2 that was dying so upgraded. It's nice and light.

I'm curious to see what the 120hz ProMotion looks like in it in person

New size gave them an excuse not to reduce the 9.7s that much on apple store.

It will be interesting to see if you can still use the Microsoft Office apps on the 10.5" without paying for Office 365. I've heard it is only free on less than 10" displays.

I've got the subscription so I'm probably good.
