The HTC 10 is the real deal folks

Them baws at HTC have done it! Early previews/reviews of the phone have been remarkably positive!
My only gripe is the headphone jack being on the top.
It even got a top score from DxOMark, tying the Galaxy S7/ S7 Edge for best smartphone camera
Boom Sound isn't gone...just repackaged Mashable

You may have also noticed the two front-facing BoomSound stereo speakers that made HTC's One M7, M8, M9 iconic are gone. Not to worry: BoomSound remains, and it's as loud and clear as ever, pumping audio out from the single front speaker/earpiece and second speaker located on the bottom of the device. And like the One M9, it supports 24-bit high-res audio, if you're into that.

A few years ago, HTC started reducing the impact its Sense UI had on Android's performance, as well as the general experience. I'd argue that any progress is good progress on that front, but with the 10, it feels as if HTC hardly painted over Android at all. What we've got is the lightest, cleanest version of Sense yet, and it's mostly a pleasure to use.

While we're on the subject of apps, HTC has done a fine job cutting back on its preloaded apps. Think: its browser, Scribble and Polaris Office. There's always been some overlap between HTC's apps and Google's, and the former finally decided to trim the fat, because certain stock Android apps just work better. There's at least one example of Google changing its products to mesh with HTC's dialed-back approach: HTC's Gallery app supported RAW photo files, and now that that's gone, Google's Photos app supports those uncompressed images instead.

HTC has always talked a big camera game with "Ultrapixels" and other marketing nonsense that never really worked out. But with the HTC 10, the company has finally delivered a camera that can perform as well as the competition. It's also the new low-light champion, pumping out brighter pictures with better colors than the Galaxy S7. A lot of times, the pictures you get out of the camera are the best in its class.

HTC says it has also worked hard to extend battery life on the 10, and it has no trouble getting through a day of heavy use for me. The 10 doesn’t have wireless charging, but its 3,000mAh battery can be recharged very rapidly through the 10’s USB Type-C port. HTC says the 10 can go up to two days between charges, which may be true if you’re a very light user, but it’s definitely not able to last that long for me. But I don’t have a problem with the 10 reliably making it through a demanding day of use, which it does.
