Have IPhone 4, have a couple of people that I am sending text messages to and they are saying they are responding but I am not getting the text. It seems to be only happening with a few people.
Besides updating to a newer phone, any solutions?

do they have iphones?
did you maybe turn off imessages but their phone is still trying to send you an imessage instead of a regular text?
happens when some of my friends switched to androids, my phone was still trying to imessage them by default

I have a 4S and that happened to me. I powered my phone off and then back on and they appeared. Try this if you haven't already done so.
