Havent bought a TV in over 5 years and in technology years that is a long time. Looking for a TV for the living room around 60". Show me what TV I should get.

2016 Sony Model
Probably best bang for buck. There are some higher quality models, but this one checks all the boxes and doesn't have the light bleed of the 2015 Sony models.

Probably about a grand. It doesnt need to have all of the latest bells and whistles but I also dont want a piece of crap.

Don't count out vizio. They make a solid large screen tv set. Definitely not crap

I have a vizio that I bought 10 years ago right when they started to make a name for themselves and it has been a great tv. I was not sure if they still made a quality product or not. What are some specs I should look for in a tv? Brands? LED, 4k, etc?

For me Sony and Samsung are top of the list
