Spinoff security cam thread. Powered Coaxial cables

who the hell knew you could power things thru a coax cable? My new cheapo Amazon outdoor antenna gets power through the coax for the motor to turn. If power can be ran through coax tot his why hasn't anyone come up with outdoor security cameras that receive their power from the data cable?

That's been around for years with PoE (power over ethernet).

You could corner the market.

Also why don't they make 6 channel DVRs ? 4 camera just aren't enough sometimes yet 8 can be too many.
