I have an HP Photosmart 3310 all in one printer that no longer supports driver or software for the newer Windows OS.

I need the scanning software to work.

Is there a generic hack somewhere and if so can you guys help me find it?

I don't really want to have to buy a new one, I don't use it enough to justify it.

Do you have the original install cd?

If not, I will look around and see what I have.

My bil may have one.
I copied software off a thumbdrive to use his scanner/printer on a Win7 pc but it insisted on the original cd before it would work.........
I think the scanner worked without the cd but it needed the cd to get the printer to work.

Look for a piece of software called VueSCAN. I have a very old HP 4011 flatbed scanner, and there was no updated driver when I upgraded to Win7. I got VueScan and it works just fine.
