Picked mine up yesterday, Coral Blue color. It's great. Highly recommended if you are in the market for a new phone.

If Androids OS wasn't so shitty I'd bite. Phone looks great, wish the OS was up to par.

In the performance comparison in which the two phones simultaneously launched the same apps, Samsung's Galaxy Note 7 was thoroughly defeated by the iPhone 6s, despite the Note 7's cutting edge hardware and the fact that it's a year newer than Apple's latest iPhone.

The iPhone was able to launch apps in succession at a much faster rate than the Galaxy Note 7, launching 14 apps (including rendering a video) in one minute and 21 seconds and eventually lapping the Galaxy Note 7, which took two minutes and four seconds to complete the same tasks. The iPhone was able to cycle through two laps of the app test in one minute and 51 seconds, while the Note 7 took two minutes and 49 seconds, almost a full minute longer.

I bet TouchWiz is to blame for some of this slowdown. What are some reasons people buy a Samsung over much cheaper and better Android options such as the Nexus or the OnePlus 3?

Because Samsung has a huge marketing budget and most people have never heard of Nexus or OnePlus. Most people want to walk into a carrier store and walk out with a phone without paying anything out of pocket. With Nexus and OnePlus you buy them unlocked and off contract. Most people find it hard to part with the money upfront and would rather have it in their monthly bill.

Also specs. Is there an alternate to the Note7 with that screen size and stylus? I really don't know anything about the nexus or OnePlus, but I did not think they compared in that area.

And he has app and window animation on for the Galaxy phone which is going to slow it down (but looks nice)

And the largest delay was caused by 1 app, a racing game

The Note 7 has a bigger and better screen (5.7" vs 5.5", 518ppi vs 401ppi) and the s-pen. The OnePlus has more RAM (6GB vs 4GB). In the same speed test from the video Street Hawk posted the OnePlus 3 finished 3 seconds behind the iPhone 6s and well ahead of the Note 7. The Note 7 is a great phone and a lot of reviews say it is the best Android phone on the market but there are great flagships that perform as good or better for half the price.

Here's a similar test against the Note 7.

Hands down the best android phone on the market year in and year out for both hardware and pure android OS.

Nexus to Android's OS is like iPhone to Apple's iOS.

Even if true I don't care. Performance has been fine for me.

I'm a stylus guy so the stylus is a big deal. Also the screen and camera on this phone are great.

I took it off the charger at 100% at 8:00 it's 12:16 now and it's at 74%

I streamed I heart radio for 4 hours on 4G because I forgot to log into wifi. I have brightness at 90% and auto brightness turned off. No power saving modes enabled. Watched a few MLB clips.

I'm beyond pleased with battery life. I never made it all day on my note 5. I make until the next day almost every day.

IPhone 6s doesn't even have an HD screen while the Note has quad display. If the Note 7 had as few pixels to push as tbe IPhone 6s it would blow it away.

I personally would trade fraction of a second for the much better display.

That retina display makes tbe entire iPhone look cheap imo. It's the type of display you would expect on a budget android phone.

The one plus despite having the same chipset as the Note 7 is faster because it only has a 1080p panel.

The amount of pixels a processor has to push matters. The snap dragon 820 would fly on any phone with a less than HD screen like the iPhone.

The iPhone 6s will also perform faster than the iPhone 6s plus because the iPhone 6s + actually has an hd screen with way more pixels to push.

I love mine. Was harder to get than I thought. Samsung didn't anticipate demand for like the first time ever.

My ATT store only got 10 of them in and they were supposed to get a shipment of 30. Said they were almost all gone.
