Get a new router?? Try installing the new firmware?

The solution entirely depends on what the problem is.

Since you said it "won't let you" connect, I'm guessing you should rub the top of it and speak to it in a soft tone but with conviction. It may then warm up to you enough to let you connect.

If that wasn't the problem, then let us know what the problem is so we can help you. Are you getting an error message? If so, what does the error message say?

Everytime I try to connect with it, it says: "unable to join network "

Consumer routers break all the time. They're so cheap I always just buy a new one rather than take the time to see if it can be fixed. I always save them if wired connections still work, though.

If you want it to last longer, don't put it on top of another device that generates heat, and don't keep it in an enclosure with other devices that generate heat. They generally have zero active cooling (no fans), and I would be surprised if most of them have heatsinks on the parts that get hot.

So...

I would. Consider yourself lucky if this one lasted longer than 2 years. If you want your next one to last longer than that, in addition to the tips above, consider buying a model that is a couple years old. The reasoning for this is often times companies will sell devices with the same model number for several years, but they will revise the hardware over time. Generally later revisions will be more reliable. Also, next time update the firmware more regularly, as these software updates can also make routers run cooler.

On what device? How many devices are connected with it? Can you confirm that it's functioning in any way other than "it's plugged in?" Do you know the router password? Wifi password?

Bore us with details man. You're not giving us very much at all to work with.

Won't connect to iPhone, iPad, nor pc laptop Today is the first day that the iPad won't connect to it. I have an extension router also but I can run everything off of that extender.

Password has not changed.. It seems that it just starts denying devices. First it was the laptop. Two days later the iPhone wouldn't work and now today my iPad won't connect to it.

Before you buy a new router, find the reset pin, reset it, reconfigure it (set up SSID and WPA2 password), and try again.

Have you tried simply restarting it? (unplugging it and plugging it back in)
This may temporarily fix the problem so your devices can connect, though the problem may happen again later.

If that doesn't help,
1. Perform a 30-30-30 reset on the router ( 30-30-30 reset) and set it up again from scratch.
2. Upgrade the firmware to the latest version from the manufacturer's website
3. Throw it away and go buy another one
