Ok, so yesterday I picked up a ROKU streaming stick primarily to watch LSU baseball via the watch ESPN app.

As I'm watching today, the feed stops and says "Loading, Please Wait". It literally does it off an on many times and if you wait it may take 15 seconds or a minute or two for the feed to come back. If I press the back button and then select the game again it goes right back to playing with no delay.

Also, I have suddenlink high speed with around 55mbps and a 6 month old 24 channel wireless router/modem.

Any of you guys experience this or have a solution?

I had the same problem with my Roku 2 while watching the LSU game today. I switched over and used my Chromecast and the problem went away.

I have a Roku (4?) with cable internet, and it works like a champ on everything ... except WatchESPN.

Netflix, Amazon, and other channels stream smooth as silk, but ESPN buffers like a bitch.

I had hell with it trying to watch baseball last year. Switched over to my AppleTV, and the WatchESPN app on it worked like a champ.

I used the Roku to watch softball last weekend, and it worked fine, but baseball today was as you described it. Just like last year. Switched to AppleTv, and there was never a hiccup.

Same old shite as last year. I don't know if it is the fault of Roku or ESPN, but it just won't work for me.

If you want to watch LSU baseball, I suggest you get an AppleTV or maybe try some other streaming device that has WatchESPN.

I remember now that I had the problem last year as well and it's only when watching LSU baseball games. I reported the problem to ESPN and got an email back that they received my complaint but nothing else.

This morning I rebooted my Roku 2, deleted the ESPN Watch app, rebooted the Roku 2 and then re-added the app. I've watched the GA Tech and the FSU games with no issue. I'll give the LSU vs AF game a try.

Thanks for the tips. I have a Samsung smart tv but it doesn't have the watch ESPN app. So I got the ROKU and looks like I have wasted that money. Sigh.

I used the Apple lightning/hdmi adapter with no problem on Saturday. Had numerous issues on Sunday. Maybe it was an App issue?

I absolutely hate Roku sticks. I had one, and I gave it to my brother after buying a Roku Ultimate.

I'm switching from my Roku 2 to my Chromecast for LSU baseball.
