Roku Player Question

I have one of the original Roku boxes. It's slowly starting to die and I'm considering replacing it.
I don't know anyone that uses the Roku "stick".
I primarily use hbogo, netflix, hulu, discovery go, plex and watch espn.
Do the app accessibilities change with the product or am I missing something?
TIA

I have the stick and it has all the apps mentioned.
Works perfectly, never an issue. Best streaming device I've owned

I have the Roku box in the living room and a Roku stick that I use on both the patio and bedroom tvs. Never had a problem with either. WatchESPN & the Xtv app are money....

Do you plan on getting a streaming TV service like PlayStation Vue? I don't know if they plan to upgrade the app in the future, but the first attempt at the PS Vue app was half assed enough that I upgraded my Roku 3 to a Fire TV and have been very happy with it.

They "are money" as in necessary to life itself or do the apps cost more with different systems?

They're money because they're free and awesome. For watchESPN app you may need a cable subscription but it's free. The Xtv app is free. It has 3 categories: 24/7 tv, On demand, and Live tv. The 24/7 is series that run 24/7...for instance they have Seinfeld on a 24/7 loop. There's also movies channels which show different movies 24/7. The On Demand has shows, movies, and cartoons on demand...obviously. Live TV is pretty self explanatory. It has channels from all over the world. It's definitely worth checking out.

We have a stick and a couple of boxes. I notice a difference in speed on the boxes. They also are both hardwired to Ethernet which is not possible with the stick so that could be the main reason we notice a difference
That said, the only real issue we had with the stick was it would unpair from the remote constantly. It was basically useless. Finally found a message board post that said it could be interference from the TV if the HDMI port is on the back. They recommended getting a HDMI extension cable and relocating the stick. I did that and never had another problem.
