Recommendations on a sound bar?

Thinking about buying a 49" flat screen TV (I think I'm down to either the Sony XBR-49X800D or the Samsung UN49KS8500FXZA). My cursory research seems to indicate I need to get a sound bar to get good quality sound out of it.
Can anyone recommend a good sound bar that's not absurdly priced?
Thanks.

Define absurdly priced. You can buy one for a $100 or $1500.

$1500 is absurdly priced. $150 isn't.
Seriously tho, whatever you'd consider the optimum price for best bang for your buck.

So just use the TV speakers, or do you propose something else?

I'm just not a fan of sound bars, but a decent one should be a nice step up from the built in crap.

That was a way of asking for your budget.
Check out the Sonos play bar. It's nicely priced at $700.00. However it's the features and ability to add additional speakers wirelessly to the play bar that has allowed it to dominate the market.
Really. Go read up on it.
