Bought one of these and have been messing with it. Total noob at Linux. Have been messing with it for hours and it's SO rewarding when you change some code to the outcome you have been trying to get to.

Did you try AP-Mode or setting up an Ad-Hoc Network with the integrated Wifi? I noticed that the Wifi is a little inconsistent. I was wondering if any additional drivers need to be implemented?
I need to use KVM virtualization on Raspberry Pi 3. Unfortunately, KVM is not enabled on Raspbian. I was curious if I can use KVM on Ubuntu Mate?
I bought mine on Amazon and got a decent deal. I'm impressed thus far.

I feel like I'm very high tech and I have no idea what you just asked. I flashed NOOBS on an SD card to install Raspbian. I bought a kit with a case and power supply to go with the RP3 from Amazon for 45. The wifi seems to work great from first install, even with me streaming from Twitch.

In short order I was asking if another power supply was necessary? I take it, you're not familiar with Ubuntu.

I have one running LibreElec and Recalbox. Works great so far. I really like the built in hdmi cec control so don't need remote control while using kodi /Libre.
