"Random" selection to review equipment

I received a letter from a tech store in Mandeville that asks me to test a Multimedia projection system and I can keep it after I review it. All I have to do is pick it up. This all seems weird and I got something like this before for a phone but didn't do it. Has anybody else done this or is it a scam?

COntact them and find out what they are asking for. Odds are they will ask for your SSN on the pretext that they have to declare it for tax reasons or will say they need a credit card on file in the event you don't review the product. At that point tell them

Occasionally these things may be legit, I'd just be cautious about giving out sensitive personal info unless its a verifiable know entity.

Got this a while back and there was a thread here about it.
I forget the details, but you get to keep and review the equipment after you join their vacation club or sit through some seminar.
I believe one guy did it and the tablet they were offering was some sort of basic $30 thing.
