Do you think waze will ever add pit stops to their app? Scout GPS has that feature and is pretty nice to search for something to eat off your route but I like waze and the features they have. I tried to email them but haven't gotten a response.

It is annoying that neither Google nor Waze apps allow you to:
1. search for POI along your route
2. add said POI as an additional stop

what are you talking about?

when i search for a new location after i've programmed in my destination it always says "would you like to program this as a stop along the way or a new destination?"

this is in waze.

y'all are doing it wrong.

Oh and BTW I'm still torn between waze and Google maps. Dammit I wish they would integrate each other's features better.

Ya, I'd prefer to look at Google's Maps with Waze's traffic redirection.

Something about Waze's map I find harder to look at.

I just use the iExit app to find something that I want on the upcoming exits.

You can add "pit stops" in Waze. I don't think you are using it correctly. We add them on most stops.

Just to be clear..

1. We have a destination selected, mapped and are currently en route.

2. Wife says, "Let's stop at X (usually Buccees)". I add a new destination to the trip, and Waze creates a sub-trip within the larger trip.

3. We stop at Buccees. Waze automatically "completes" the sub-trip and has the main trip back on screen.

Note - at all times I can see the ETA for the main trip and sub-trip(s) broken down separately .

See above. Simply pick your final destination and have it begin navigation. Then click "navigate" again and a new closer destination. It will ask you, "New Drive" or " Add a Stop". Select "Add a Stop".

I think what the OP was saying is you can't use your original destination and search for a POI along that route.

You can add a stop as described above.

You can change the look of the map. I prefer the map editors look.

settings-> display settings-> map color scheme
