Ok, after checking out other options, including the Dish flex plans, it looks like Sony Vue is best out there.

but here are my questions:

1. We have 3 tv's hooked to dish boxes, will we have to buy 3 amazon fire? google stick? etc?

2. It looks like they have 1 of our locals, do they plan on getting all 3 of local major networks?

3. DVR? or do they have an option to dload stuff to a cloud service?

4. So lets say i get the ultra plan $39 per month(example), is that all i pay, it looks like they also want you to get a subscription to playstation network? So i'd have to pay for network and also for vue monthly?

5. they have long term goals for adding more channels??

6. All the channels are in HD, correct???

7. Is it better than sling? which has best picture quality?

According my experience,

1.We have 3 tv's hooked to dish boxes, will we have to buy 3 amazon fire? google stick? etc?

Yes, we have 3 Roku's

2. It looks like they have 1 of our locals, do they plan on getting all 3 of local major networks?

We use an external antenna for local channels

3. DVR? or do they have an option to dload stuff to a cloud service?

You can add shows to your "list" and they are saved for 28 days

4. So lets say i get the ultra plan $39 per month(example), is that all i pay, it looks like they also want you to get a subscription to playstation network? So i'd have to pay for network and also for vue monthly?

You do not have to subscribe to anything extra. We have the core slim and pay about $35/mo.

5. they have long term goals for adding more channels??

I dont know

6. All the channels are in HD, correct???

I don't know for sure if all channels are.

7. Is it better than sling? which has best picture quality?

Sling might have been better, in terms of picture quality (I edited it for that); but Vue is better for overall channels that we watch.

Hope this helps.

Fire tv or Playstation is the best option for vue.

All channels are HD. I haven't used sling, but I can't imagine it is much worse quality, if at all.

It is definitely the best option out there.

they also want you to get a subscription to playstation network

I don't know if this is true, but assuming it is, I never paid anything for PSN. What am I missing?

The former PSN was a free service.

Now you need a Playstation Plus subscription, about $50 a year, to be able to play online multiplayer games. This used to be free as part of the playstation network service but became a paid option a few years ago.

However, if you don't want to play multiplayer online games you can still get system software updates and game updates and message other PSN users for free.

So if you don't own a PlayStation and only have a fire tv then THEY don't really want you to "buy the $50 psn" now do they

Unless you're playing multiplayer online games there is no point.

I've enjoyed my two months with it, but there is one massive downside.

There is no live local channels. They have an ABC channel, but it only plays TV shows.

No ABC, CBS, or NBC football games. That part really sucks.
