Nest owner...

Half price through work. $75.

Favorite things: Staying in bed while changing the temp and setting it to "away" if we forget on a long trip.

lol, I love defensiveness of purchases. We need a Nest vs. Honeywell thread now.

Or just apple vs the entire electronics industry. They are the pioneers of all, even fruit.

I was looking at pulling the trigger on that one , but the price on the older is giving me second thoughts. Is there much functional difference between the two?

how does the honeywell work when you have 2 HVACs? i have one upstairs & downstairs so i'm hesitant to buy these things since i'll have to replace 2 of them and don't know how they work together.

Same here. I bought 3 of them a couple weeks back and they are great. App functions really well and setting up a temperature schedule wasn't difficult at all.

On the app or website they will show 2 different thermostats. I don't know if they "work together" to try to get the same temp across the whole house. I think you just have to set them both to the same schedule.

I freaking love this. I know it sounds lazy, but at night if you just want to bump it down a degree or something, it's nice to just grab your phone off the nightstand and never have to get out of the covers.

I have two of the same model as OP. They work just fine. I have one named 'first floor' and one named 'second floor'. When I log in the app or website, it shows both of them. I don't know if there is a limit that you can have, but I do konw I can add more and then set different locations to organize them i.e. (home, camp, office, etc)

I recently bought one for $83 on Amazon, but they are back up to $92 today.
