I guess I need to do the 7 day trial and see if it fits my needs. I could save $1000 a year

Any specific advantages of sling.vs vue? I know the answer is probably stated in the 35 pages somewhere.

I would save about 2,200 a year AFTER paying for the top VUE package.

Do I make the PSN account on the computer on there site or do I do that through VUE on the fire tvbox?

I know you said to set up vue on the firebox and not the site right?

easier on the site. then log in through the fire tv (which is on sale right now for like $84)

I have an original firebox I am going to use to try it out. I just moved it up front to my main TV setup.

Still using Vue and not having any regrets about ditching directv.

That being said there are a few things I preferred about DTV. I miss the option to pause live TV for extended periods of time, like if I have to go run an errand. Vue only seems to pause for a few minutes before resuming. I also miss being able to specify which episodes to dvr (new vs old).

While these things are annoying, the amount of money we are saving totally offsets those issues.

In regards to the new vs old on the DVR, the newest episode will always be to the far right.

Also, let's say you have 10 shows you record, the one with the newest episode will be listed first in your "my shows" list.

That bothered me at first as well, but I have since "figured it out" so to speak.

Also in regards to the long pause, just DVR it.

In regards to the long pause, I could dvr it but I thought that you can't have playback control until the live showing is over. It's more of a pain in the arse when I'm watching a 3 hr movie and need to run to the store for 30 minutes. Again not a huge deal, just an annoyance.

As far as the dvr issues, I mean more like specifying which episodes to record. Directv allows you to record all episodes or just first runs. With vue you just get every single episode that comes on. And as far as I'm aware, I can't delete individual shows from the my library section. Just gets cluttered that's all.

Makes sense.

I feel the same way about the clutter. I agree, I liked DTV better as well.

Like you said, small aggravation and well worth it!!!

Is there a place to voice these ideas for consideration from Sony?
