I'm allowed to have an antenna on the outside of my house, but it has to be in the back, as far as I know.

I think you're allowed to put it wherever you can get an acceptable signal.
It is allowed, per FCC rules found in the Federal Telecommunications Act of 1997, that you can place your antenna, on your own home, to receive LOCAL broadcast signals (in other words, not from 75 miles away) anywhere that is best for you to receive those signals, up to 12' ABOVE the topmost roofpoint of your home. In other words, if you have a chimney that is higher than any other part of your house, you can mount that antenna up to 12' above the top of that chimney, and the HOA can't do anything about it. This applies to satellite dishes, too, although you are limited to no larger than a 3' wide dish. Any HOA that says otherwise is wrong and is looking for a homeowner to file suit against it.

The only limitation on this I could find is if you can get equal signal elsewhere. For example, if you can get all of the same channels at the same reception at the back of your house, they can make you put it on the back of your house (If I understood it correctly). Other than that, the HOA is shite outta luck from what I understand.

Awesome..then get that douche to do it

I would rather it in the back anyway if it still meant catching the same channels with great signal.

Anyone having trouble with Vue tonight? I'm having lots of buffering on my DVR'd shows.

First time I've experienced this.

Mine was acting fine for Live TV, but the DVR was buffering like crazy. I ended up just putting it on pause for about 5 minutes, seemed to help.

fast forward wasn't working well though.

I watched a show on demand last night, and it does not allow pausing or rewinding...I understand fast forwarding but why block the other functions?

Yeah, the guide was being sluggish. The WAF was being severely tested.

Anyone using the Fire TV notice a better performance when going to the guide and other UI? Last update must have fixed some bugs with PS Vue.

Definitely Fire TV..they updated it yesterday. Fox Sports Go got a brand new logo and overhaul, that app works great now.

PS Vue appears to run faster, but it could be my imagination.

I am very intrigued but I assume there is no way I can still watch Braves games on fox sports south?

Are you in an area where your cable providers offer that network?

Vue offers regional fox sports networks

Yep live in Atlanta. So that is awesome.

This is getting complicated. So is there any way to use my slingbox still? I travel for work so it's my way around the MLB package although 108 a year would be much cheaper.

PS Vue only has fox sports Southeast and not fox sports south. So technically you only get half of the games for now. Sony mentions they will get fox sports south any day now, but still nothing
