Why are companies putting their tech products out for selling without ridding off any and every kink?

Companies can be the biggest trolls to make ppls blood boil.

1. It is impossible to test and find every issue.

2. Because they can fix issues they miss with firmware updates.

Any and every kink, eh? How about auto recalls? Why do they let those kinks slip through the cracks?

And tech products can be orders of magnitude more complex than a vehicle. It's amazing that they ship with so few problems.

This is the correct answer.

To the OP - not all software has to be perfect in every way. For example, if you're typing up a paper in Word and a letter on your screen is offset by one space it really isn't that big a deal.

But for certain applications it does matter. That exact problem was noticed on a display during a Space Shuttle flight. The fix cost something like a million dollars - not because it was hard (the code change takes literally seconds) but because they have to test to make sure it works perfectly every time, and also doesn't cause problems for something else. Basically they have to retest the entire package for even the smallest change.

Needless to say, that ain't happening if a student typing up his Word document gets mad at something.

No I meant wifi. I haven't checked out the selection, but I would imagine they are available. You could integrate the wife's toys with your wink hub and activate them remotely.

If this doesn't already exist, here is our Tech Board million dollar idea:

A women's wearable that is worn you-know-where, and connects to her phone via bluetooth. Obviously, she can set vibrating notifications for specific contacts.
