Mine won't update today? Been trying since about 6:30am.
Anyone else having this issue? It's annoying the crap out of me.

Have you tried restarting your phone? It's been a while but I've occasionally run into networking issues that only clear up with a restart.

Highly recommend Overcast vs the default podcast app.

Pay 3.99 and get pocketcasts. It is amazing.

Restarted it twice.
I really don't like the app anyway, so I may very well take the advice of the other posters here.

Pocketcasts:
Great look and interface.
The best feature is that when you select a show it downloads to your phone. After you have listened to the episode it automatically deletes and frees up space. This allows for perfect playback. No streaming problems or using data to listen.
I typically download 5-10 episodes while I am home on wifi. After I have listened they delete and I download more. If you ever forget to do it at home you can just download offline but it will use data.

I do the same thing with the stock Podcasts app. It's set to refresh daily and download new episodes. Once they've been played, they auto delete from my phone.

Apple's built in pod cast app does the same. I'm not saying the interface can't be improved, but where I find it lacking is in finding new podcasts. Give me a good podcast discovery system and I might switch.

I use Apple's app, but I hate that you can't arrange the unplayed episodes in the order you want. Is there another app that I can manage that? I listen on the commute and don't like fiddling with my phone while driving.

I had trouble with the basic app many years ago. Bought iCatcher and have used it since. Works well.
It lets you make playlists to arrange different shows in a certain order, but I haven't used that feature.
