Nexus 6 or Nexus 5x

So my Note 5 screen died over the weekend. Somehow the screen inside is cracked, its a pressure break, no idea how it happened but AT&T and Samsung won't do anything.
I'm still paying on the next plan for this phone so I'm looking on eBay and Swappa for a new phone and don't want to drop more than $200. I've basically narrowed it down to the Nexus 6 or 5x. Any opinions would be appreciated.

i love my nexus 6 but the 5x has better specs (although smaller screen) and will likely live a little longer on google's update plan.
however, new phones are just around the corner so maybe buy a $50 cheapo for now to hold you over for a month and pick up a 5x or 6p when the price drops.

Thanks. I will check that out. I hadn't thought about waiting for the newer phones causing a price drop.

I've had both. The 6p is hands down the better phone and best buy has a good deal on them.

I have a 6p, but its 2016 and many phones are more than capable. The 5x will do a good job if you are looking for something cheap.

If you like the 5x the honor 5x is cheaper with a bigger screen and has features that the Nexus doesn't.
