On Tuesday, July 28 Newegg will run a 24-hour celebratory sale, offering deep discounts on some of today's hottest technology products. Come back Tuesday and snap up some great deals.

Anybody know about this: Never heard of the company and the reviews dont seem to be very positive.

Don't know how you've never heard of newegg. I've used them many many times with no problem.

My guess is he is referring to Changhong, not Newegg

There's a 55" Samsung LED 1080p, 120hz for $599 which is pretty good deal.

I've been wanting to switch the HD in my laptop to a SSD. Would like one around 500GB. How's this one rate? LINK

6 series Samsung is the upper middle range for them. I would save up and get the 7 or 8 series.

That PNY drive is the outgoing model, but it has received pretty good reviews at bestbuy.com.

Great reviews on Amazon as well. Amazon is the same price as Newegg. LINK

PNY hasn't convinced me, yet. That's a good price per GB, but someone has to make a stronger case than that for me to eschew Samsung or Crucial, when they have comparable 500gb for under $200.

You pays your money and you takes your chances on something like this.

Samsung has had nothing but issues with their SSD since the 840 series. I would avoid them any way possible.

That is the one that most here will recommend. If you have some newer devices with AC capability, then you should consider stepping up to the AC68 or something similar.

People having issues dropping wifi signal typically do not take into consideration obstructions or placement of the router.
